There’s a reason you’re here.

Let’s find it together.

Afterglow Mindset: Rooted Mental Health Care

Afterglow Mindset is a virtual mental health practice built on a simple truth: your mental health doesn’t just live in your head. It’s shaped by your body, your relationships, your history, your environment—everything you carry and everything you’ve survived.

We’re here for people who are looking for something deeper than symptom checklists and quick fixes. People who want thoughtful, collaborative care that honors the full picture. Whether you're dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, burnout, or chronic stress, you don’t have to be “more sick” to deserve support or “less complicated” to be taken seriously.

You are not just a diagnosis. You are a whole person. Your care should reflect that.

We also believe in knowing when a different kind of support is needed. If you’re navigating a severe psychiatric condition or in need of immediate crisis care, this may not be the right setting, and that’s okay. What matters most is that you’re safe and supported.

If you are in crisis, please reach out:

Call or text 988 – Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (24/7, free and confidential)

You deserve care that sees the whole you and meets you where you are.

Let’s Start with a Conversation

Most care starts with paperwork, pressure, or a rushed first visit.

At Afterglow Mindset, it starts with something simpler: a conversation.

This 15-minute, exploratory call isn’t about making a diagnosis or being evaluated, it’s about connecting, asking questions, and getting a feel for whether Afterglow Mindset is the right space for your care.

If it’s a fit, we’ll take the next step together, and if not, that’s okay too.

If you are an existing Afterglow Mindset patient, you may access your Patient Portal below:

Hello! My name is Nathan (he/him), I’m a licensed Physician Associate (PA) in Minnesota and the founder of Afterglow Mindset.

I completed my Physician Assistant studies at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri in 2014. I relocated with my family to the Twin Cities a few years ago in search of a more inclusive environment that better aligned with our values.

My husband and I have been together for over 10 years, and we have a 14-year-old kiddo whom we co-parent with their mom—who also happens to be my childhood best friend. Needless to say, Missouri just wasn’t the pot we were meant to grow in.

We’ve found so much more happiness and acceptance here, and Afterglow Mindset is a direct result of that. I look back now and don’t recognize the person I was back then—in the best way. I was stuck in routines, negative patterns, and just existing through life.

My mindset changed when we moved—not because I was different, but because I did something different to break out of that cycle.

You don’t have to move across the country to find your Afterglow Mindset. You just have to choose to do something a little different for yourself—and go from there.

When you feel ready to do something different for your mental health, just reach out. I look forward to connecting with you.

-Nathan
